The worse and most stupid idea you could’ve had were to supply an online configuration app without a local alternative.
It can be nice for a company focused on collecting data for their customers, but very bad for the customers themselves.
If I have noticed that before, I would never have ordered a Moonlander keyboard, which is a shame, for it’s actually a good device.

I just lost an entire set twice last 24 hours because Oryx got unresponsible during a server failure. It’s extremely annoying.
I want to remind you that, as all your customers, I paid for this device and it wasn’t cheap. I believe it’s a reasonable request to ask you to supply a configuring app that runs locally for Linux, macOS, and Windows at least.
Please consider my request. I’m making this message public on Mastodon, where most of your other customers live.
