Hi there, As noted in the previous community meeting, we’d like to define the next gen Jolla Phone together with the community. Now, we’ve been offered access to a good quality modern 5G smartphone platform and we’d love to hear everyone’s opinion on the key configuration specifications and also to get a feeling of the potential demand for such a product. To make the next gen Jolla Phone commercially viable we estimate that we should get in minimum 2,000 pre-orders so we can start the project...

@RandySimons possibly, although most people I know with tablets / laptops (i.e. have other computing devices) still use a mega sized phone. is it coz they prefer the size or the lack of good options for smaller devices? 🤷

Asus #Zenfone series used to have some smaller yet decently specced devices (gen 8/9/10) but for gen 11 they went with Ultra. Maybe there's just no market for small high-end phones.

I had the #XperiaX which is just slightly smaller than the XA2. A delight with #SailfishOS :)

Es hat ein wenig länger gedauert, aber heute konnte ich das alte #Sony #xperiaX von #SailfishOS auf #LineageOS v16.x umstellen. Dann haben wir hier ein brauchbares Ersatzgerät. Freut mich.

Dear #sailfishOS users. I have a problem with my switch from #xperiaX to #xperia10.
When I want to update to the x10 from an app, a window opens asking me if I want to encrypt the file with OpenKeychain. But I have no possibility to press "import". This button is missing. I do not know what to do. Does anyone have an idea?

Nächster Status zum Thema #Neueinrichtung #xperia10 mit #sailfishos

Die einzige App, die bislang gewillt ist, die #Backups vom #xperiaX zu importieren ist tatsächlich #gpodder.

Sowohl #OpenKeychain, als #andOTP- #K9-Mail oder #KeepassDX verfahren da sehr merkwürdig: Es öffnet sich zwar das Fenster worüber ich die zu importierende Datei auswählen kann, aber dann kommt da immer "mit xy offnen" (einmal / immer) und wenn ich den Fehler begehe, hier z.B. Keepass anzuklicken (sofern ich eine Keepass Datei importieren möchte), dann geht die App in eine Dauerschleife.

An dieser Stelle stört mich dann tatsächlich schon mal sehr massiv, dass die auszuwählende Datei nicht normal bestätigt werden kann, sondern immer diese Auswahl kommt...

Hat da vlt. jemand schon so seine Erfahrungen mit dem Thema gemacht ?

Versuche es Mal mit #ubuntutouch . Ich hab es auf dem #xperiax seit 6 Monaten und davor seit 2017 auf dem #fairphone2 als tägliche phones. Mit dem genialen webapp Ansatz habe ich auch nahezu jede App die ich brauche

Da es für mein #XperiaX anscheinend keine neuen #Omnirom Builds mehr geben wird, teste ich jetzt mal das inoffizielle #Lineage. In Sachen Stabilität scheint Lineage besser zu sein. Optisch ist Omnirom klar vorne. Ich vermisse Omniswitch, weil es die gerade ausgeführten Apps anzeigen kann. Das normale Recent Apps Menü ist total sinnlos.
