Happy Sunday! I like to write a few some thoughts by hand, which feels more intentional and grounded. Writing lyrics by hand, though, can be tricky – my mind jumps around too much, and it’s easier to follow my thoughts when I type. For simple goals or random reflections, though, handwriting feels just right. Of course, all of this goes better with a coffee!

“Some of my happiest hours are spent writing in my #notebooks. If I flip through one after a session and find that I’ve filled several pages, I’m happy; the more the merrier.“

“If we have any chance of preserving the human voice against the chatbot — of rejecting not just artificial intelligence as the supreme writer, but also refusing to have our own writing contribute to training A.I. — it’s going to be through the pen and humble notebook. It’s going to be, for most of us, through diaries.“

Resilience is often presented as feats of bravery and endurance. But everyday practices like journaling, drafting a text or even writing a to-do list are manifestations of a capacity to adapt.
