What is this? A scene down by the base of the Southern Stormshield where it joins the Marshfarthing? The area sometimes called Kasrovelarya, in reference to the ancient Azlanti colony?

An urban scene, possibly Qabarat or somwhere else? The open architecture and trees prominently incorporated into the cityscape seem a good fit.

What is the person doing? The censor, the design etched into the floor, and the cups set at intersecting points suggest a ritual. Ritual is an interesting topic among the psychically endowed lashunta, since why would need somatic elaboration when one's magic is primarily based in the mind?

Does this fit within the lashunta's norm for magical practice, or does it break it, diverging into the realm of forbidden arcana?

Artist: Frank Frazetta. Yes, I keep getting drawn back to the source.

So I remember studying that Man vs Nature is one of the most basic forms of literary conflict. Anyone think they were being quite this literal?

Castrovel's lushness, the richness of its life's evolution, seems to encourage new predatory forms. On a world where Harpy Jasmines and Moonflowers already prowl, would this tree be so out of place?

Maybe its selected preys' plight is not so unique. If so, then maybe Lashunta (and the other species inhabiting Castrovel) have a different view of their world and the things growing within it. Along with the need of identifying carnivorous plantlife, what general suspicion do they carry of things they don't recognize? What is the cautionary common sense they have learned?

So full disclosure: this is Conan, specifically the kidnapping of Princess Yasmina from _The People of the Black Circle_. How could this scene fit into a more approrpriately Lashunta narrative?

Maybe, instead of a kidnapping, it's a rescue? The lone Korasha, stealing into his foes' palace, to seek his sworn princess. He finds her, but only to have guards burst in. In desperation - but counting on his climbing skills from a lifetime spent within the megadendra trees - he throws himself & her out the window!
