Movie TV Tech Geeks #TVFeatures #WorkinMoms #Girls #Sitcom This Laugh-Out-Loud, Hilariously Messy Sitcom Is the Perfect Binge for 'Girls' Fans http://dlvr.it/TPsDgG

If you are looking for a breezy, easy-to-watch show, Workin' Moms isn't it. This show really leans into tragic comedy at times.

MILD SPOILER MILD SPOILER MILD SPOILER: the abundance of morally ambiguous characters and situations makes it hard to watch at times. Lionel may be the only character I love. More than once, I had to stop watching for a bit because a character or plotline left me upset enough that I needed a break.

I started watching Workin' Moms (2017) this week; I'm about midway through Season 3 now. Very funny from the perspective of several married, working mothers. I would call it a "modern sitcom", meaning it is less formulaic, less laugh-out-loud funny, less punchlines & absurdity, more about the humor (often tragic) in everyday situations and conflicts.

The women's perspective helps keep the show original and interesting.

😮 Well, I was wrong about the previous episode when I said Kate's fight with Nathan wasn't important. It was actually foreshadowing something very surprising in this episode. The focus here was mostly on Anne's wedding, just like the season premiere, but there was a big shock for Kate. And for us! (WTF?!)
