Packed my bag to head into @workantile coworking on a PTO day. There's a radio to tinker with, some postcards and holiday cards to write, and household paperwork to sort through.

I would never get any of this done at home, despite my best intentions.

Looking forward to seeing coworkers and helping decorate for the holiday party!!!

Bike ride this afternoon back and forth to #Workantile . It's just about exact 30 minutes from laptop lid closed there to garage door closed at home, allowing some time for tidying up before I leave. With sunset at 503p that meant that a 430p exit time just about is exactly right to get home before dark.

No close calls.

Wind was brisk but not overwhelming.

Today is #Skywarn recognition day, so I was on the radio a bit on the #N8DUY repeater.

A nice Sunday for a bike ride, into town to #Workantile and back.

No close calls.

On the way back, I noted with approval that new bollards are in on North U heading eastbound from S State at the corner of the Diag, which meant that instead of eight (8) cars parking the bike lane like last week, there were zero (0) cars.

Thanks #WorldBollard wherever you are.

Sunset today at 515p, and it was very gray, which meant heading home sooner.

Bus into town, the first time I've done that for a very long time.

Very enjoyable lunch at Cafe Zola on a PTO day, and then after that a few productive hours at #workantile during that day.

Fully vaccinated means I am willing to see people in low density situations, which is an excellent improvement to my mental health.

Planning to walk back home through town (again, first time for that in ages).

I was convinced going in that I was going to be disappointed with a 4 GB #pi400 as a driver for 2 monitors, but as it turns out the system runs fine how I use it with 2GB of memory free.

There are peppier machines to be sure, but for an all-in system cost of less than $200 (not including the monitors, which are #workantile shared use) this is a pretty effective cyberdeck to keep here in my cubby and plug in when I need it.

delayed from Sunday?

No traffic at all on a Sunday a.m., except for one motorhead who was ready to drive through a red light.

If the commute downtown was like this all the time, I'd have no hesitation about never driving to town.

My Pi 400 is in my locker at #workantile, so I didn't even have to carry anything with me! However, I can see better with my reading glasses, and it might be good to keep a pair here so that I always have them as needed

The new Saturday routine is to drive into town, dash into the places that I need to dash into to get errands done, and park in front of the places I've been meaning to go to in person to schedule appointments a couple weeks out for when my vaccine is at full strength and when I have a day of PTO from work during the week.

My Ann Arbor downtown time has been a late night shift (10p-midnight) when streets are quiet and I can be the only person at #workantile coworking.
