Does anyone know if I can share Widgetsmith premium within my iOS family? #Widgetsmith

I really wish #Apple wouldn’t offload apps that have displayed widgets (or at least let us mark apps as “never offload”). I’ve now had it offload #Widgetsmith 2 different times. No, I don’t open the app often/ever but that’s because it’s doing exactly what I want, displaying widgets.

@_Davidsmith do you know of any work arounds? I have at least 1 other app that I never open and only look at the widget which has never been offloaded. Not sure what’s different, I don’t pay for it but I do for WS

I’ve been using #WidgetSmith across Mac and VisionOS. Thank you team!

It’s the last week before my sabbatical and my calendar is astonishingly full. It feels like everybody wants to talk with me.

Thank you iOS 18 for “helpfully” offloading #WidgetSmith from my phone since I guess I hadn’t opened it recently. No big deal that it broke my first homescreen which has multiple widgets from that app that I look at every day… #iOS #Apple
I was just thinking @davew ’s #Artcasting concept would be a neat way to consume a #PixelFed account’s content. (Feasible, @pixelfed ?) Even cooler if it could be used to power a photo frame or smart device widget. (Maybe #Widgetsmith could add this option @_Davidsmith ?) #IndieWeb #RSS
@_Davidsmith #widgetsmith idea: small widget combining weather and current time - for when you want to keep tabs on the weather and the time in a different time zone. The Hourly widget implicitly has all this information, but I’m thinking more about the Outlook widget with an added clock. For now, I’m just stacking two different widgets, no big deal…
This toot is for fellow #iOS #developer : would you find any use in a #Widgetsmith inspired app to help you track search keywords for your apps directly in widgets? Think #ASO for #indiedev who don’t want to pay for a full SaaS product and/or want to check their rankings from their Home Screen. I have a working app - should I push it on the AppStore? Please let me know in the comments and *boost* to make this post visible to the wider community. cc @_Davidsmith for the inspiration
