Nearly every building here is a Listed Building (the remainder are merely gorgeous).

Such a perfect sky this afternoon. The lengthening daylight meant there was time for a lovely walk with one of my teenagers after school today. Not yet half term for us in #Gloucestershire ☀️💙

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas! Hope all you have a lovely, happy day however you're celebrating.
Here's a reminder of the beautiful snowy weather we had a week ago.

Loving the snow and ice we've had over the last week - the countryside has been turned into a magical wintry kingdom. Work means I've not had time to explore it this week, but I was lucky enough to get out into the fresh snow on Sunday.

Two views of the same oak tree at the bottom of a lane on my lunchtime #walk today. Not the thickest of trunks for #ThickTrunkTuesday but a beautiful spreading canopy of branches which always makes me smile. The golden leaves were a riot of fiery colour amongst the drab browns and plain greens #trees #oak #Wickwar #GetOutside

This is Wickwar's "Old Electric Oak" (10.55m girth, 800+ years old). It has survived several attempts to destroy it to accommodate overhead high voltage cables - burning in 1938, severe pollarding in 1970s & it was almost felled in 2017. Now protected by fencing to stop its roots being compacted, it will hopefully survive many more years.
