Roughly 550 people (mainly) dressed in red lines Stroud High Street today to state what their red line for Gaza is.

I don’t know about you, but ours include when innocent civilians, men, women and children are being targeted, shot & killed, again and again and again. When healthcare workers are killed, and hospitals are destroyed, when aid workers are killed & aid distribution centres are targeted, when people are being starved and dehydrated, when our government is complicit in selling arms for this genocide against Gaza.

We had the support of the Red band and the Red Rebels. Who gave very powerful performances.

Breast Cancer Now big fundraising event!

Wotton Area Breast Cancer Support group will be holding a fund raising cream ‘tea’ next Thursday 21st from 10-11.30am at The Keepers, Wotton Under Edge.

OK so it’s mid-morning, but it’s all in a good cause and there will be hot and cold drinks and cakes, and jam, and cream and scones! Everyone is welcome and donations will all go to the ‘Breast Cancer Now’ charity.

If you’ve ever been diagnosed with breast cancer, why not come along to one of our regular support meetings, on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 10-11am. More info available on the Keepers website.

Crafters Shop in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire is very pleased to be actively involved with this event - Long Street Summer Social. It is being held on Long Street, the primary shopping street in Wotton-under-Edge on Sat 30th August from 12 noon.

There will be demonstrations from at least 5 local artists in the small courtyard behind Crafters Shop;

• Pottery Throwing on a wheel (Clare Stephens, Chris Ainslie, Cindy Williams and Katy Kebbell)
• Blacksmithing (Cliff Mills)
• Glass Engraving (Chris Ainslie)
• Wood Engraving (Molly Lemon)

Several of the local artists who work with Crafters will have craft stall selling a a wide range of their products.

Crafters Shop in Wotton will of course be open from 9am to 8pm

A man in his 20s has been #arrested on suspicion of #DUI after a #fatal collision following a #car / #vehicle #show in #Tewkesbury #Gloucestershire where a vintage #tractor was driven through fields and crashed into a wall and parked #cars

The second day of the car show was cancelled by the organisers.

This is an unusual thing to happen at these fairly middle class organised events, its not exactly a street car meet on an industrial estate (although in the same area someone killed his own brother at a #motocross event last year during a drunken fight)
