@disaster2life I mean #KaiOS is good if you want to also make and receive phone calls/SMS or create a 4G WiFi hotspot on said portable hackable device?

But if those are not important there'd be other options too (check #Beepy and #WiPhone!)

For me, it was the one device I'd carry around (until I got #Mobian on my #PocoF1, but my #Nokia2720Flip is still 💯 when I'm not in the city and apt to be blocked by QR-coded React-bloated ticketing systems or something)

@jwildeboer To clarify, the Gl.inet travel router is flashed with #Gluon. Of course Gluon would not run on the #WiPhone, as Gluon requires Linux and #OpenWrt support. (And I wish the WiPhone had a keyboard like the #Nokia #N900 back then.)

well this is cool, finally got to peak at the source for the #WiPhone, sadly it's written in Arduino C++, was hoping it'd be written in ESP-IDF.... still excited to dig into it, phone should arrive tonight

#WiPhone has arrived 👍 Definitely enjoying playing with it so far. Trying to get my jmp.chat SIP account signed in. I think there is something missing for setting a PORT (jmp needs 5008 but I think default here is 5060).
