I was recently flying between HKG & LHR via British Airways. I’d done the same flight back in 2023, and remember relying on the in-flight entertainment for the 14 hour journey. However, this time on my way to London, they had an interesting offer: Free WiFi for “Messaging”, for members of “The British Airways Club”.

I'm a bit skeptical to the "new" method of #wifihacking - the Nearest neighbor attack.
Why? I myself have discussed this way of hacking WiFi networks with a few mates about a year back (though I do not have evidence of that; signal disappearing messages).
Either way, the method isn't that well thought out. It's just another way of landing a drone with a pineapple and a 4G modem on a building.
The only difference here is that they use an Ethernet backbone instead of a cellular one.
