The Holy Mountain (1973)

The Alchemist assembles together a group of people from all walks of life to represent the planets in the solar system. The occult adept's intention is to put his recruits through strange mystical rites and divest them of their worldly baggage before embarking on a trip to Lotus Island. There they ascend the Holy Mountain to displace the immortal gods who secretly rule the universe.

Some other of you weirdos might enjoy the film 'Rey', about Orélie-Antoine de Tounens, the (quite probably self-declared) King of Araucanía and Patagonia. It's a fascinating story, told in a way that's dreamlike and sometimes downright psychedelic.

Watched 'A Field In England' the other night, which is truly one of the weirdest, most batshit things that I've come across in a long time.

Definitely my favourite psychedelic horror film set during the English Civil War.
