Are there any #WebFrameworks that do not use #javascript? :)
🚀 Wow, Internet! Another thrilling deep dive into the captivating world of redundant #security protocols! 🙄 Turns out, we need a thousand words to explain why #CSRF and #CORS are still around, but don't worry—it's just as riveting as watching paint dry. 🎨 Spoiler: web frameworks already have it covered, but hey, let's invent problems! 🤦‍♂️

❓ Hey Masto, I got a #webdev and #greenIT question for you.

I have worked with Python/Django and PHP/Symfony for 15 years.

🌱 I'm deeply concerned about the tech environmental footprint, so I want to learn a new stack that requires less energy from servers.

Based on this (https://thenewstack.io/which-programming-languages-use-the-least-electricity/), and on the fact that my skills are mainly OOP and I like full-featured #webframeworks , I'm considering Go/Gin or Java/SpringBoot.

Do you have any advice/feedback? Is this even a good idea?

As @baldur explained in a great blog post a while back, most professional software tools are designed for Taylorization. Reducing technical workers to more easily replacable units in software production lines.

For similar reasons, most web development frameworks are optimized for "enterprise use". A euphemism for the giant, highly centralised, DataFarming platforms we come here to avoid.

I'm sitting down to learn the Nette PHP framework. A Czech product that honestly looks pretty darn good. The database library feels a little limited compared to other options, but I can work around that.
