Dear Friends of the National Trust,

As we may know:

- This is one of the richest Trusts in the UK
- Time to ceasar the aristo lands by Government and allow them to manage? Maybe so. Maybe on it.
- For example yesterday I walked to my nearest managed Land and Wetland. Morden Hall Park.

How was my walk along the river Wandle? I tells youse:

The water was flowing amicably into the Thames. Why? Managed!

Coppiced planted willow was coming into pussy catkins. Wetland had been opening new areas of managed flooding for birds, insects etc to find. I saw youngling and mature trout. Cormorant happily feeding on the river fish. Birds springing into spring.

What a cacophony.

Sadly my camera ran out of battery juice. So no pics. Maybe next time...

Dear Friends of #Battery #Power,
Went for a
#walk from #Tooting to #Wandle chalk #stream/#river. Just about the time I arrived, the #battery on my #camera decided it was #death time. It committed #suicide. I am giving it #electro #shock #treatment, right now.
Death is not an option.

Should be back to normal...

Anyway some of the pics I took

Dear Friends from all #universes, 🦞

We had a long
#stroll along the #River #Wandle near #Tooting. We stopped off to check out some #pestle and #mortars for grinding #spices. Also, to buy some #mint #plants and #sage. The #tangerine sage should be fun. It has red flowers. I wonder if it is a communist? The sage is #variegated. The mints are #chocolate #peppermint and another #vigerous grower.

Loads of
#butterflies on our #traversing and very pleased to see a #newt (also available as a character). 😮

Also did some
#sunbathing in the #morning. Will be #planting my new plants #tomorrow #inshallah (which means COD willing). 🦋

Was
#delighted to see the new #Food bus, which as part of #ground #roots #UBI gives free food, to the subjects of Princess Charley (also available as a fragrance).

#Nature can't live without it, and #living without it is a c#nt. You knew that, right? Most people seem to. 🕊️

Welcome to
#May (not Theresa) and her #warmth. ❤️

Dear Friends of #Narnia,

I was walking along the #Wandle river in South London, when I came across a #magical public garden (as you do). Many #benches, #gnomes, #community gifts and #plants.

Dear Friends of #Chalk #Streams
Went for a walk along the Wandle, early morning.

These carp, one is part #koi, are nearly impossible to see. So I enhanced the image. Above the carp top right are tiddlers, small fish. The #Wandle is the fastest #flowing #river in #England. It was until fifty years ago a waste of suds, sewage and pollution. Before that, water mills powered the industrial revolution.

Now it is coming back to life. ✔️

Restocking, #hazel and other #trees being #planted on its banks. Excellent #coppicing. Thrush was #singing for a mate. #Parakeets are now common tree nesters. I always keep a look out for the #kingfishers.

Dear Friends of #Tooting,
Quite #misty this morning. Glad to see a #lesser #egret has made the trip to the common pond. Probably flew in from #Wandle #River.

Dear Friends of #Tooting the place,

Today went for a walk to the #Wandle, Tootings nearest urban and very rare chalk stream river. The Wandle starts in the Surrey Hills and empties into the #Thames.

The Wandle has a long history. For example at Colliers Wood, it passes a supermarket with a car park next to an ancient demolished Priory. Englands 15 year old King Henry VI crowned himself there ... Henry VIII demolished and seized its Church wealth and properties ...
