Dear Friends of the National Trust,
As we may know:
- This is one of the richest Trusts in the UK
- Time to ceasar the aristo lands by Government and allow them to manage? Maybe so. Maybe on it.
- For example yesterday I walked to my nearest managed Land and Wetland. Morden Hall Park.
How was my walk along the river Wandle? I tells youse:
The water was flowing amicably into the Thames. Why? Managed!
Coppiced planted willow was coming into pussy catkins. Wetland had been opening new areas of managed flooding for birds, insects etc to find. I saw youngling and mature trout. Cormorant happily feeding on the river fish. Birds springing into spring.
What a cacophony.
Sadly my camera ran out of battery juice. So no pics. Maybe next time...
