On March 9, 1917, 2LT Kurt Wolff encountered 2nd Lt Thomas Aloyims Shepard near Annay, France. Wolff, flying his plum-colored Albatros D.III, shot Shepard’s F.E. 8 fuel tank to pieces, sending it down smoking heavily.

When in car I listen to am radio. #WWL, specifically. #NewOrleans & #Northshore . Believe me, they have been here, they have been the lifeblood. Ever dependable. Through every storm. Ofttimes, the only station we can get during emergency. I have always had a radio-- transistor battery 9 volt, then AA, now usb rechargeable. They have sat with me in the dark when no one else was there. Today, stuck in a traffic jam, I am listening to their "talk-radio." To an ex-#JeffersonParish sheriff, #NewellNormand sucking some #HeritageFoundation guy . TODAY. Anniversary of both #Katrina & #Ida. Hundreds died. And THIS is what Newell Normand CHOSE to speak about--- hating immigrants. Gawd, I don't even .....
