25 scouts from @dpsgdvfulda traveled more than 2,000 kilometers through northeastern South Africa in 14 days 🇿🇦. We saw many magnificent landscapes along the Panorama Route and in Kruger National Park 🏞️🦒🐘. Re. Scout Movement. I've found almost nothing on fediverse about the world wide scouts youth movement. Maybe the first fix for that is agreeing on a hashtag. #scouts and #scouting seem to have a lot of sports recruiting posts. I don't think we should use a version of "boy scouts" since it's just inaccurate. Our common organisation is World Organization of the Scout Movement who use the abbreviation #WOSM so maybe #WOSMScout or something? Any ideas fediverse? @sindum

Das #KISC Internationale Pfadfinderzentrum #Kandersteg beteiligt sich mit einem Umzug von ca 1500 Pfadis an der örtlichen Feier zum #Schweiz er Nationalfeiertag.
(Ich beschränke mich auf das erste von 56 Fotos der Parade - Zentrumsleiter Pani aus Spanien und einige der ca 100 Helfer des Zentrums aus insgesamt etwa 35 Ländern tragen die Fahnen des Zentrums, der Weltpfadfinderbewegung #WOSM und der Schweiz)

2° l'assemblée générale du #ScoutismeFrançais : nouveau trieannat, les responsables des commissions et membres du bureau changent.

Après une journée d'ateliers de travail sur différentes thématiques, les commissions statutaires (formation, relations avec l'#OMMS et l'#AMGE) nous font un retour sur leur activité.

On parle aussi du congrès mondial des méthodes éducatives organisé par le SF en décembre 2023.

Et les collèges partagent leur activité sur le terrain 😃

It seems #ScoutingAmerica will become just the second #WOSM member to not use its nation's name or the demonym of its citizens. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_World_Organization_of_the_Scout_Movement_members

The only other is in #UnitedKingdom, which has the straightforward name of "The Scout Association." This makes sense though, since this is where #Scouting was founded so there was no ambiguity in 1907. Today, #ScoutsUK is used informally if clarification is needed.

"America" is an entire region consisting of two continents, not just USA.
