I don't know *why* this works, but I'll share what I experienced that works my problem of not switching between 2 devices on my #sony #WH1000XM4 #headphones

For switching from laptop to phone, of course, pause anything playing on your #Linux machine *and* switch to any available #Bluetooth codec (like from #SBC to #AAC and vice versa). Then play the media on your phone.

Gonna start off that I use #EndeavourOS with #KDE #Plasma 6.5.3 under #Wayland session.

Recently I broke a hinge on my good-old Sony WH-1000XM headphones.

Unfortunately a new part costs more than $20, so I decided to recreate and print in on 3D printer.

At the end I spent more time designing a model and purchasing a new part would be easier...but at least it was fun :)

does your wh-1000xm4 headphone have a good bluetooth mic? mine doesn't sound good, tho my voice from that mic sounds a bit clear.

Ich bin von relativ günstigen Dingern auf die umgestiegen und bin begeistert.
Pros:
Sie sehen imo mega geil aus
Crazy ANC - hinten im Bus hört man das Motorbrummen nicht mehr und mit ein bisschen Musik (nicht mal laut) verschwindet jedes Gespräch um einen herum.
Klasse Klang, auch dank hochauflösendem Audio-Codec LDAC. Spätestens wenn man mit der App (ja, App und so, aber die ist glaube ich schon ganz sinnvoll) nen entsprechenden Equalizer draufhaut wird das abgefahren. Die ersten Tage habe ich dauergegrinst wenn ich mit denen Musik gehört habe.
Bequem - ich hatte bisher überhaupt keine Probleme, auch bei längerem Tragen
Hochwertiges Case
Zusammenklappbar und dann relativ kompakt
Gute Akkulaufzeit und sehr schnelles Aufladen
Klinkenanschluss und mitgeliefertes Kabel

Cons:
Kein aptX, nur Sony-Eigener LDAC, der wird von (meinem) Android unterstützt, von Windows (nativ) nicht, wie es auf Linux und iOS aussieht weiß ich nicht. Allerdings klingen die auch mit AAC schon richtig nice.
Nicht wasserfest. Bei Regen Pack ich sie immer ein.
Preis - Neu momentan bei 225€. Nicht wenig, aber für mich bisher gut investiert.

Wenn du noch einen My besseres ANC für etwa 50€ mehr haben willst könntest du noch einen Blick auf die XM5 werfen. Lassen sich aber nicht mehr so schön zusammenklappen.
Auch die günstigeren Modelle von Sony (eine Freundin hat die XB910-N) sind solide, gerade beim ANC.

My super duper Sony #WH1000XM4 headphones are low battery, so I dug out my gardening backup #Taotronic #BH040 which I bought about 5 years ago for £40

Remarkable they are 80% charged despite being locked away for 2 months. Note all the electrical tape, due to multiple plastic breakage from dropping, though oddly they now feel comfy and firmer as a result

The disposable paper ear cup covers I use on all my headphones as they stop the faux leather degrading
