Visual Studio for Mac depreciation is a bad decision with no vision at all. It is a laughable thing when you rewrite a huge part of the software one year before. Mentioned alternative are also "laughable", the best is not cited.

If I check the state of the native Windows development today (WinUI 2/3, and more), I think Microsoft has probably no vision at all. Governed by the short terms decision in a lot of areas (not all) and by π΅
Today we are announcing the retirement of the Visual Studio for Mac IDE. Visual Studio for Mac 17.6 will continue to be supported for another 12 months, until August 31st, 2024, with servicing updates for security issues and updated platforms from Apple.
