I was explaning to a very very senior developer that I prefer #rider to #visualstudio, because I don't like how VS adds so much UI and visual stuff for working with files. Takes me away from the source. Makes it more difficult to understand what is actually happening.
He asks me, completely baffled: "So, you write HTML by hand? 😮".
I mean... Yes!
I also tweak relevant XML when I need to... If you don't understand the code you're shipping, then you have no business shipping code...
Devs who've been in the game for decades and still treat computers and code as if they are magic that can't be fully understood by mere mortals... Scary
