Also how do I discover which accounts to follow other than just searching for specific hashtags and/or accounts?

To search the posts of an account that i follow, i have two steps:
Fetch the exact handler from:

Type into the search box:

cjsims3000@mrxmrt @devinprater As I understand, there isn’t a like button. The closest is when someone favourites a post. Favouriting is the equivelant of liking. I favourite all the time and get notifications when someone favourites mine. #UsingMastodon

I can’t remember how you create/manage hashtags you use (or want to use) often. Was that on the site?
Anywoo—finally learned how to make a post (toot?) be hidden behind a “Content Warning” :WHILE: I was making this post.
I’ve only ever seen folks use it for spoilers or the like, not that it’s actually sensitive or inappropriate for professional environments.

Just learned about Featured Hashtags on mastodon.
I like this type of categorization feature as it could help me better curate my posts.
MilcoIt occurs to me that instances could be an AMAZING way to create communities solely for special interests too. I know the Mastodon model is supposed to be about one account, multiple themes and topics, post everything under one name but from hanging out here, especially using Tusky, it almost seems to me to be intuitively designed for multiple connected accounts, especially given how easy Tusky makes it to pop back and forth between accounts.
Rob 🏳️🌈 Rartsy Humanist#UsingMastodon requires my participation. Sometimes I want to be passive but I recognize that effort produces better experiences. Learning to use the tools I have is essential. Fortunately the system here is without an algorithm working against me. I'm currently choosing to follow US politics without requiring others CW. But I use CW in recognition that USPol isn't of interest to all. Today I'll attempt to follow the #January6thCommittee hearing live here & see how that feels. #J6
