Unlimited PTO sounds very good on paper, but on practice it doesn't benefit the workers. With unlimied PTO you are giving up on having certain time off as a right. If you don't use your PTO that you have in your contract, you would get it back as money but now you don't get anything if you didn't use it. It's not clear how much time off is appropriate and not knowing this usually leads to doing less PTO.
