Con la crisi di governo sempre più profonda e l’ipotesi di elezioni anticipate che appare ormai concreta, in Israele è tempo di sondaggi. Secondo l’ultima rilevazione condotta da Zman Yisrael, sito gemello del Times of Israel, se oggi si votasse il Likud del primo ministro Benjamin Netanyahu sarebbe ancora il primo partito del Paese, con 24 seggi su 120 alla Knesset. Subito dietro ci sarebbe la lista congiunta “Insieme”, guidata dagli ex premier Naftali Bennett e Yair Lapid, accreditata di 23 seggi.
Numeri che, se confermati, segnerebbero però un cambiamento significativo: per la prima volta dopo mesi, il partito di estrema destra Sionismo Religioso del ministro delle Finanze Bezalel Smotrich riuscirebbe a superare la soglia elettorale, ottenendo i quattro seggi minimi necessari per entrare in Parlamento.
Uno scenario confermato anche da un secondo sondaggio, pubblicato dal quotidiano Maariv, secondo cui Sionismo Religioso riuscirebbe a rientrare nella Knesset.

Secondo la rilevazione di Zman Yisrael, i restanti 73 seggi sarebbero così distribuiti: 16 a Yashar dell’ex capo di Stato maggiore Gadi Eisenkot; nove al partito ultraortodosso Shas; nove a Yisrael Beytenu di Avigdor Liberman; otto ai Democratici di sinistra; otto a Giudaismo Unito della Torah; sei all’estrema destra di Otzma Yehudit; cinque al partito islamista Ra’am; quattro ad Hadash-Ta’al, formazione a maggioranza araba; quattro a Sionismo Religioso; e quattro a Blu e Bianco di Benny Gantz.
Alla luce di questi numeri, il blocco pro-Netanyahu arriverebbe a 51 seggi, mentre quello anti-Netanyahu, escludendo i partiti arabi, si fermerebbe a quota 56. Se il quadro dovesse restare questo, nessuno dei due schieramenti raggiungerebbe i 61 seggi necessari per formare una maggioranza di governo, aprendo così la strada a un nuovo stallo politico in Israele.

With the government crisis deepening and the possibility of early elections now concrete, Israel is time for polls. According to the latest survey conducted by Zman Yisrael, the Times of Israel’s sister site, if a vote were held today, the Likud party of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would still be the first party in the country, with 24 seats out of 120 in the Knesset. Just behind would be the joint list “Together,” led by former Prime Ministers Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, credited with 23 seats.

Numbers that, if confirmed, would mark a significant change: for the first time in months, the far-right Religious Zionism party of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich would succeed in passing the electoral threshold, obtaining the minimum four seats necessary to enter Parliament.

A scenario also confirmed by a second poll, published by the Maariv newspaper, according to which Religious Zionism would be able to return to the Knesset.

According to the Zman Yisrael survey, the remaining 73 seats would be distributed as follows: 16 to Yashar of former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot; nine to the ultra-Orthodox Shas party; nine to Yisrael Beytenu of Avigdor Liberman; eight to the left-wing Democrats; eight to Unified Torah Judaism; six to the far-right Otzma Yehudit; five to the Islamist Ra’am party; four to Hadash-Ta’al, an Arab-majority formation; four to Religious Zionism; and four to Blue and White of Benny Gantz.

In light of these numbers, the pro-Netanyahu bloc would reach 51 seats, while the anti-Netanyahu bloc, excluding the Arab parties, would stop at 56. If the picture were to remain this way, neither of the two blocs would reach the 61 seats necessary to form a governing majority, opening the way for a new political deadlock in Israel.
