UN Mappers Mapathon at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad - JNTU Hyderabad 🇮🇳

On 18 March, our #UNMaps Community Ambassador, Pawan Muddu, led a #UNMappers mapathon at JNTU Hyderabad in India. Together, we mapped buildings and settlements 🏘 in forest fire–prone areas of Adilabad district, Telangana, to support identification of vulnerable communities, improve fire risk assessment, and enable better emergency response planning.

UN Mappers Mapathon at Lodz University of Technology (TUL) 🇵🇱

On 3 March, UN Mappers held a mapathon at Lodz University of Technology in Poland. We mapped waterways 🌊 in Somalia and buildings 🏘 in Afghanistan to support peacekeeping and logistical operations.

The event is organized by CloudFerro S.A. and TUL.

On 27 January, UN Mappers held a mapathon with students of Warsaw University of Technology - Faculty of Geodesy, Poland. We mapped roads 🛣 in Somalia to support peacekeeping, and buildings 🏘 in flood-affected areas in Mozambique to support humanitarian efforts. 🗺
