In most countries of Africa and Asia, as well as Belarus, Bolivia, Canada, New Zealand, Egypt and Uruguay; a work enters the public domain 50 years after the creator's death. Rod Serling died 28, June 1975, so the Twlight Zone enters public domain in about 2/3 of the world in 2026. It won't enter the public domain all around the world until 2056, (and even then, it still won't enter public domain in the USA), but this means that if you live in most countries of Africa and Asia, as well as Belarus, Bolivia, Canada, New Zealand, Egypt and Uruguay, you can now steal all of Rod Serling's ideas, legally, and do whatever you want with them in about a year.
I grew up with cheesy old scifi and horror, so the Twlight Zone is a big one for me. I'm looking forward to checking out what we end up with in the next few years. I'll have to keep my eye on all the countries listed above :)
