I Carabinieri e il Soccorso Alpino hanno recuperato i resti di un soldato austro-ungarico a 3.120 metri di quota, conservati dal ghiaccio per oltre un secolo. Ora saranno sottoposti ad approfonditi studi storici e scientifici per ricostruire la sua identità.

Yet another metalhead.club Fediverse instance sticker in the wild - about 2.240m high (says the sign where the sticker is placed) and rather frosty with 10°C on Saturday (coming from 30°C in the valley).
In the back you see the Trentino side of the mountains with remnants of a glacier on the peaks to the left.

Did you know? In the northern Italian region of #Trentino there's this kind of pasta, actually a sort of gnocchi, literally called "Priest-stranglers" (strangolapreti). Curiously, a bit more south (Emilia Romagna/marche) you find another different kind of pasta, called "Priest chockers" (strozzapreti). #Italy as strong catholic roots and equally strong anti-clerical roots, and all comes out in interesting mixes over the dinner table. #cooking #food

Interesting. I've seen various version of this name for pastas (especially further south). I remember learning (who knows if it is true) that the reason they have this name is that if a priest showed up at your home, even if you were very poor, you were obligated to feed him.
