Pitkälti toista tuntia kököttelin puskassa odottaen josko satunnaisesti laulava peukaloinen tulisi paremmin esiin tiheästä aluskasvillisuudesta. Ei tullut. Viimein kun lähdin pois, lennähti hän kuitenkin pääni yli syvemmälle metsään, kuin hyvästiksi. 😄
En pidä vittuiluna, mut kyllähän sitä hieman piti päätä pyöritellä. Komiasti lauloi joka tapauksessa!

Odotellessa pääsin kyllä rauhassa kuvaamaan puukiipijää, joka tyytyväisenä puuhaili minusta piittaamatta.

Ja jonain päivänä vielä sen peukaloisenkin kuvaan, hemmetti.

Before a few years ago, I'd never seen or even heard of a tree creeper. Now, they're one of my favourite birds.

Watching them move up a tree is fascinating and I was lucky enough to see one stay still enough to get relatively close for this photo.

Does anyone else have a soft spot for these wonderful birds?

Der Waldbaumläufer: Der Lümmel ist verdammt gut getarnt. Mit etwas Glück sieht man ihn mal huschen. I.d.R. finde ich sie aber aufgrund ihres zarten Rufs. Der englische Name ist schon speziell *lach*: der treecreeper ^^
