So I finally finished leveling the patio area in front of the trailer. The rock retaining wall now goes a lot further.

The uphill side of the rocks is a swale. Currently populated with Chaya cuttings. But as the swale is finished, those will be moved further away, and the close plantings will be buckwheat and monkey flower mostly. Maybe a white sage plant too.

The patio area is prepped for sheet mulching. cardboard is finished, but I'll need to get a carload of mulch from Griffith Park when I'm down in the city next. (I'm a bit of a mulch snob when it comes to my space. Griffith Park has the best free mulch)

Finally getting sun today. My batteries are going to hit 100% in an hour or so. I can put away the catalytic propane heater - probably until next winter.

Can probably take the covers off the trailer roof vent and skylights too. Rain becomes rather unlikely in June, and if we do get some it's a sprinkle unless we get some monsoon activity this year.

But as I understand it we're looking at a strong El Nino - so we may get tropical cyclone activity in the Pacific, making some summer thunderstorms possible but I can always keep buckets/covers handy. Should have plenty of warning unless it happens when I'm at dance for 3 weeks.
