Hi #Skoda folk. I have a #SkodaOctavia estate and want to get a #TowBar fitted. The fitting company say I need a "Dealer Trim" to finish the job off if I get a removable swan neck.

Am I right in thinking that this is just a bit of plastic to cover up the hole when the towbar is removed? Or is it something more substantial?

Nissan Leaf Tow Bar for sale.

As new, just unpacked for checking contents. (sold the Leaf before we could fit it).

Nissan Leaf Hatchback 11/2010 Onwards Brink Detachable Towbar from PF Jones. This Towbar is for bike racks/cycle carriers ONLY, it has no towing weight. We were going to shave off the pegs on the ball with a grinder so that we could pull a very lightweight trailer for dump runs.

You blow $150,000 on a near-new Merc and it doesn't come with the promised "towbar package". So you sue Armstrong Prestige for (checks) $50,000,000. Dear, oh dear.

While the plaintiffs lost their silly claim but scored a towbar, I think the biggest takeaway from this story is the fact that Armstrong are charging an unbelievable six grand to fit a towbar! For "normal" cars this costs $300-$1,000.

Buy a Merc, get used to being milked.

@z428 damn my typos! That was meant to be "MarkDown *OR* HTML". The point being that the user gets a familiar workflow (#MSWord style toolbars and buttons), but pressing the button shows them something they could just type out, if they want to, to get the same result. The same principle could be applied to many things, ergo, my #TowBar proposal
