It’s a crying goddamn shame that this isn’t available digitally. I understand & respect that TOUCH’s very specific, strict aesthetic code they run the label by while simultaneously there’s so many like this that are in limbo. It would be so great if more folks heard it. An overlooked gem as is most of RHK’s output from this time. Perhaps due to his high rate of output back then? My copy of Philip Jeck & Chris Watson’s Oxmardyke arrived today and it’s truly wonderful, even if it’s also suffused with melancholy and fragility as one of Jeck’s last projects before his untimely death last year. The recordings are full of real and imagined crossings, bridges and transfers, a movement of air and sound from one realm to another. Highly recommended.
