This album has one of my all-time favourite scratch routines, where QBert starts with James Brown going “one, two, three, uh!” and concludes by chopping it up so he has James Brown counting down: “uh - three - two - one!” It’s absolutely brilliant cutting and scratching.

I love this DJ mix by two times DMC World Champion QBert, based on (mostly) the Ultimate Breaks & Beats series. the double LP is a pirate release, as it was originally released on cassette, and later on CD, but never officially on vinyl.

I came across this in a second hand record store in Leeds in the street where I worked just as I had ordered my turntable and was waiting for it to arrive. perfect timing; meant to be, obviously.
