Prehistoric Tube B (CollectA)

Time again to downsize with CollectA’s second tube collection. Like the previous set I reviewed, this one came out in late 2015 and contains no fewer than ten teeny toy dinosaurs and other prehistoric monsters, a couple of them making their debut with CollectA.

In 1891, John Bell Hatcher found a pair of ceratopsian skills with elongated frills with large fenestrae (holes) in the frill. Othniel Charles Marsh named the Torosaurus.

Most people think the name means "bull lizard", from the Latin "taurus" or Spanish "Toro", but its might actually be from the Greek "toreo" meaning "to perforate". This is an allusion to the fenestrae in the frill itself.

Returning to drawing an old favourite of mine, a cute chubby torosaur. This time with feathers!

...and with this, I am at the end of my huge backlog from last three years. Pace of uploads will somewhat slow down, I am sorry to say. More in works, at various levels of doodle/cleanup/needing to scan them, though.
