Some proper mists out on #TodaysRide. Eerily beautiful. Had a nice chat with some Detroiters celebrating their weeding anniversary and then saw a tool who found out. #BikeTooter #BikeTO (video to follow)
Oh! It's been a while since I've done one of these. #TodaysRide my usual spit hit where I got nailed in the bush then enjoyed some general fuckrie. Ride rating 13/10. Tx to all those who offered condolences and assistance while I fixed my flat and sorry to the Fred's I almost ran into while distracted by the anti-genocide march. #BikeTooter #BikeTO #Bikes 1/2 some ridiculous videos in the following post.
#TodaysRide Yesterday version. Myself and most of my pals like to ride bikes for fun and utility. We've got a new adoptee into the friend group who hadn't been on a bike since their teens. So yesterday we got the pals together with the new friend and spent the afternoon riding bikes. And since we were doing a casual ride we included one of the pals 10 year old child. A couple breweries visited and a beach pit stop on an easy waterfront trail. Ride rating 19.5/10. Still beaming. #BikeTooter

Since half of the get-an-hour-of-exercise-daily is not on the bike, I cannot post a BikeStreak hashtag, but still…

Road part-way up Mount Prevost, my first attempt. Climbed from 10 m to 300 — not the top but near enough for today.

The forest road is rough, some switchbacks are washboarded, and some stretches of loose grave on the verges.

The battery was about 40% when I got back. Next time I should make it to the top.

And now the negative interactions. With guess who. Motorists. One motorist not paying attention to other road users attempted to t-bone me at an intersection. Then honked and swore at me. Another cut me off then when I gave them the "What's up shrug" in their rear view the proceeded to brake check me and flip me the bird. I passed both of these knuckle heads when they got stuck in traffic of their own making. Ride rating: 17.5 out of 10.

There is also a cyclist who wears a full covid face shield when they ride around the spit. I cross their path often and have begun to wave and say hello. They do the same in response. We've never stopped to talk. Saw them again today. Had a Canadian Stand off on the single track in the previous post video as well where we all held each other up and wasted time offering to let the oncoming person by. #GoodTimes #TodaysRide #BikeTO #BikeTooter
As the pic taker walked away they asked to get a pic with her. They all took selfies with the pic taker. As the pic taker left I told them how charming that was and they smiled and said they love to do stuff like that and that they bet they are famous in Japan. I wished them a good day. I then continued my ride. Maybe 20 mins later I ran into pic taker again and hollered, "Hey, aren't you famous in Japan" SMILES. AND. LAUGHTER. #GoodTimes #TodaysRide #BikeTO #BikeTooter
Today's Ride: Some absolutely gorgeous mists on the spit and a few interactions with others. Positive interactions first. I took a break in a park by the lake. There was a family who were taking pics of themselves and the area. Another park user offered to take their picture as a group. They took loads and explained that it was their first day in Canada and it was all in all pleasant to watch. It got better.
