We should talk #tiple sometime... My first goal when I got one -- beyond tuning -- was to track down players through the years. Found a blog in France, various videos ... as well as the international history of different instruments by that name... Altogether fascinating...

@ukeist ... Lightnin also plays 5-string banjo and banjo-uke, and is one of only a couple of people I've actually heard play the #tiple -- but he was playing mine, because he hadn't brought his to West Virginia. :-)
I should really take it out and play it more often myself, and record a couple more tunes.

Coincidence: An old friend in #Connecticut, usa, is a trad stoneware potter who learned his trade in #Wales & North Carolina, where he also became a #clawhammer #banjo player. I am a traditional potter in Bantam Connecticut . I make a lot of flowerpots for historical gardens . My apprenticeships were at older shops in North Carolina , Wales and Northern England . In those communities I started playing " Home made music" . on : Banjo first then Anglo concertina then open tuning guitar .I am so busy as a potter that I am using youtube as the place to meet other musicians who like playing the same kind of music I enjoy ..
