Finally, the end result. I learned a lot and I’m happy with the outcomes. #WoodWorking #menuisserie #Handtools #TinyWorkshop #GarageWorkshop
I finally updated my #TinyWorkshop with a shop vac. Sanding and cleaning up will definitely be less cumbersome in the future.

A side project for the Sunday: I got some oak. I think it’s going to be a little box. I straightened everything, now I’m going to reflect on how to dimension it.

Right, I am done with this afternoon‘s project. The budget moxon vice using simple F-clamps. I used scrap wood that I reclaimed from my old audio studio. It’s a bit fiddly but it works, especially when I used the quick clamps by Wolfcraft instead.

How I make sure that I make a straight cut as a beginner, just clamp on a guiding piece of wood with a straight edge. Once I have a decent beginning I remove the piece of wood and continue with my Japanese saw, the result is mostly a straight edge.

A quick project for the Sunday afternoon, I can’t remember where I saw it, but I’m going to make a low-budget Moxon vice.

It looks like the shooting board is working and that the cheap #Indian #benchplane that I picked up at the local #DYI store is making decent shavings. I’ll need some time with it though to sharpen the blade properly and sand the plate properly flat, the sides are square enough to work with, so it’s not a total disaster.

Quick project for the afternoon, used some cutoffs to make a shooting board. Currently glueing up the base. Note to self: need more clamps!
