Lots of #empirical evidence demonstrating #ecological & #publichealth impacts. A recent #ThreePercentEarth #MJSA publication proposes a 'systems-based' framework that promotes 'integrating' public health w/agric. #decisionmaking. Our findings?#BAU #commercial #farming has resulted in substantial 'appreciable public health concern.'

A recently published paper by #ThreePercentEarth gauged #global agric. pesticides #publichealth 'concern' (by country). Thailand's avg. index score (16.33/25 = high). A 2021 published review from W.Laohaudomchok about #pesticides in #Thailand revealed,
1. incr. pesticides importation
2. 1/3 are class I and II pesticides
3. #labour #laws don't cover #farmers
4. incr. # of chem. intensive #indigenous farms
5. exposure prevalence for farmers/gen. ppl
