Shoutout to @cyberlyra who from what i understand is the brains behind this amazing website: the Opt Out Project: a step by step guide to de-google your life and free yourself from online tyranny by socials and big tech.

What i loved about this website is that it's written for people who have no real knowledge of technology especially the more practical, technical aspects of it. It is easy to follow, and carefully planned to make a huge daunting task feel easier and actually possible. I can't believe that in a few days I will soon be completely google free. Unfortunately, i can't completely stop using META as i have no choice, but i know what i will be using it for: absolutely the bare minimum. And that's another reason why this website is amazing. It does not take an absolutist, puritan approach. It recognises to what horrifying extent these apps have intruded into our lives, and takes realistic action about it. The point is to actually do something about it.

This website does much more than just unplugging you from big tech. It educated me and taught me to take responsibility online. The bi product of this is an incredible feeling of freedom, empowerment and liberation. I recommend you have a look at this today #theoptoutproject #dataprivacyday
