When you try to display tv in a gas pump, the result is #terribleUX
I hate to say it but the Companies House website search is atrocious.
I would rather it returned no results rather than “useless and nothing to do with my query” results.

Today's #terribleux of the day was helping my mother who's been stuck as #Dropbox wouldn't let her sign in without removing an old account (from phone or iPad last used X years ago)

She could see which one she wanted to remove but couldn't remove it.

I took a few mins of exploring to realise it's "swipe to remove".

No indication that's the case, totally hidden until you try it. Totally #terribleui 😡

This is seriously fucking annoying. I wish people stopped linking to twits so you have to click to understand context and just screenshot them.

@HangFireBooks I don't know how well-known it is, but the world map is a nice feature:

I hope whoever worked for Skullcandy and wrote the software for the Dime earbud Bluetooth headphones has been sacked by now - when the headphones are in your ears and the device they're connected to turns off it announces it in your ears not at the volume it was just at, BUT AT MAXIMUM VOLUME. "BLUETOOTH DISCONNECTED"! Absolutely #terribleux
There's nothing quite like trying to configure your power company's tariffs on a Fronius solar inverter to make you feel stupid. They really need to make it usable by people other than electrical engineers or software developers. Luckily because I'm clairvoyant I just knew that "reference tariff" means what my power company charges for power, and "feed-in tariff" means what they pay for my excess solar. Obviously.

Today in #TerribleUX: hotel electronic locks.

Did you know that the electronic door locks on hotel doors are battery powered? And that if the battery dies, the hotel staff has no standard way to open the door? Instead they have to rely on improvised breaking-and-entering tools.

Because, of course, nobody would ever anticipate that a battery-powered lock might someday need a new battery.

Apple News is a good example for user interests being overturned by commercial interests. I don’t know what Apple promised publishers, but clearly, user interests are overruled. It doesn’t matter if you block FOX News. They shove it down your throat anyway. #UX #TerribleUX

How wonderful. A new extension: #graze. Click extension button, enter server name, copy auth code, click extension - what? enter server name again?
