Terminaux v8.5 – More Colors!
After the release of Terminaux 8.4, we’re so proud of our efforts to introduce proper FreeBSD support, which went well as expected. It also added some features that made your Terminaux-powered applications more powerful, such as the cowsay renderer that allowed you to render an ASCII art saying or thinking about things that you’ve written, and the timed input.
We are so excited to announce that Terminaux v8.5 is now available as of today! This version of Terminaux includes new color models that are introduced with the Colorimetry v1.1 update, which are:
- YPbPr: Analog video signal carried by the component cable
- YDbDr: Color model for SECAM analog color television broadcasting standard
- LMS: Represents the three types of cone cells in a human eye
Alongside the added support for more color models, we’ve also added the actual color wheel to the color selection TUI, which allows you to get a visual representation of the color that you’ve selected. It provides you with a circular color wheel that shows you all the color hues, as well as a white blip that points to the selected color.
