Our projects now officially support FreeBSD 15.1

FreeBSD 15.1 was released earlier today, and it provided security bug fixes and other general improvements for the whole FreeBSD system, which was an improvement over last year’s FreeBSD 15.0 release. One of the notable improvements were the inclusion of the updated Wi-Fi drivers that are now based on Linux v7.0 released this year.

We have earlier conducted our experiments with FreeBSD 15.1 and .NET 10.0, and our experiments have proven to be successful. So, we’ve decided to announce the below great news today.

Starting from the release day, we’re very excited to announce that we’re now providing official support for running our projects on FreeBSD 15.1! Those who are running our projects on FreeBSD can now obtain official support until March 31st, 2027, through our support timeline.

Aptivi Blog rebrand project of June 2026 is now finished!

Earlier, we have announced the changes made to our Aptivi Blog site, which involved improving user experience for people who are using different devices to read our blog, such as phones, tablets, and computers. Since the start of June, our blog went through a redesign, and our plan went smoothly as expected. This project consisted of two steps:

  • Design and user experience: We have revised the Aptivi Blog’s design, and we have improved user experience by moving elements around while resizing them to fit in all form factors with responsive design. Also, we have changed the look and feel of the whole blog, with pages getting their modern design.
  • Structure and backend: Our blog is now powered by WordPress 7.0 released this year, which allowed this rebrand to happen thanks to new blocks that appeared, such as Icon and Breadcrumb. Also, we have categorized our blog posts to introduce different categories according to content using subcategories, and fixed some posts that appeared in wrong categories.

We are, hereby, announcing that the project is now finished! With all our effort pouring to the blog redesign, we have worked hard in multiple days to ensure that every element appear as expected across different devices, with the responsive design we’ve introduced to our blog.

We will keep making further enhancements to this design, along with all our websites and their designs, as our tests will be made from time to time. Also, we will read further feedback to make sure that improvements are implemented based on them.

Stay tuned for the next 86Box experiment!

Category Explorer is now available on Aptivi Blog!

Earlier, we have finished the initial redesign plan, which was the hardest part of the broader plan, which focused on improving user experience for those who are reading our blog, especially when it comes to mobile phones and tablets. Now, we have tackled the second part, and it took its sweet time to be implemented.

We are very excited to announce that we have finally categorized our blog articles! We have introduced some of the sub-categories that are on top of the main categories so that you can access related content quickly. This reduces the amount of scrolling you’ll have to do to find relevant content, such as Linux news and FreeBSD news.

We have also used the same responsive design for all our pages to have the same uniform, and the category explorer page is one of them. Below shows you a quick overview of how it looks on both mobile phones and on computers:
