Have decided to give #ZenBrowser another go, but with conditions:

• #Sidebery, not its unreliable* & not-my-cup-of-tea native tabs
• #FirefoxSecondSidebar https://github.com/aminought/firefox-second-sidebar, not its unsatisfactory native #WebPanels

In case anyone wonders, this [temporary?] change from my hitherto daily  [#FirefoxNightly + #Sidebery + #uBlockOrigin + #FirefoxSecondSidebar] has nothing to do with the recent global #FUD wrt Mozilla's #TOU / #EULA, but instead is due to the aesthetic pleasantness of  & the desire to use its #SplitTabView #TabSplitView #TabPaneView; two undeniable advantages over Nightly.

* the Zen subreddit is full of users posting that Zen spontaneously lost all their tabs, or all their pinned tabs, or all their unpinned tabs. In my own past months of using Zen with its native #Workspaces & tabs, it also happened to me, twice, & it is most exasperating.

The #Floorp  Dev rapidly fixed the recent Sidebar WebPanel problems, & it's all good again including with #Sidebery. Floorp continues to be pretty damn awesome...

...but...

...astonishingly i've now reverted to Nightly! 😲 🤯

Floorp meets all my daily browsing needs beautifully, but for one small irritant that has been occurring for a little while, & which finally caused me to jump. Nowadays my preferred #RSS AO is #SmartRSS SmartRSS. Sadly it does not "play nice" with either of Floorp's main advantages over Nightly, being its #Sidebar #WebPanels, & its #TabSplitView. If i am #streaming anything in SmartRSS & use either of those lovely Floorp functions, they reflow the SmartRSS tab & reset the list of feeds to the top one, thus aborting whatever i was listening to. It's a real PITA, & coz i've not been able to deduce a workaround, means that instead of streaming whilst browsing [including doing my active Fediversing, for which i frequently use either or both of those Floorp features], i have to first do all my browsing & Fediversing, then do my streaming, which is massively inefficient & time-wasting. Sigh.

Otoh, in #Nightly, doing ditto but using the Tile Tabs WE AO in lieu of native WebPanels & TabSplit, no disturbance occurs to the active SmartRSS tab.

As for Nightly's similar lack of native Notes, though i've tried many AOs over the years, for now i'm happy just to make #KDEPlasma Kate text files.
