Für KDE/Plasma Nutzer können sich ein so genanntes Plasmoid mit allen möglichen Informationen auf den Desktop legen.

Bei Notebooks die Lüftungsschlitze unter dem Gerät (Tastatur) haben, sollte man darauf achten, dass diese nicht verdeckt sind!

Mir hat gestern Abend ein CachyOS-Update knapp 2 Stunden meines Abends geraubt.
Update ist normal durchgelaufen und dann stand ein Neustart an. Kommt mal vor, alles super.
Dann konnte ich mich aber nicht mehr anmelden. Das Passwort angeblich immer falsch.
Hab das dann mehrmals mit dem 1-Finger-System super langsam eingegeben, um ja jeden Vertipper auszuschließen.
Am Ende hab’ ich dann herausgefunden, dass mir das Update im KDE das Tastaturlayout auf US gesetzt hat.
Und dann musste ich erst einmal herausfinden, wo denn meine Passwort-Sonderzeichen auf dem US-Layout liegen, bis ich mich wieder anmelden und alles wieder auf DE-Layout stellen konnte.
Das war schon echt nervig. Aber vielleicht hilft die Information jemandem mit ähnlichen Schwierigkeiten nach dem Update.

Holding j and k doesn't work in Konsole. It opens a popup to select a specially accented character. This appears to be a KDE thing. Is there a way to fix holding letters in vim? Or disable special accent popup?

I've had such great performance and reliability from #GarudaLinux on my MacBooks that I purchased a new battery for each of them, making them fully-functional and portable once again!

Hardcase is light and portable, and the Retina display on Wolffe is just gorgeous.

Both of these were complete dogs on #macOS under Open Core Legacy Patcher, but on Garuda Linux, they fly.
