Ethan BlackZen Browser keeps on crashing for me on #Nvidia #Nouveau . Any tips?
Running on #Wayland, with an WLRoots-based compositor ( #SwayCompositor ).
Thomas Frans 🇺🇦Once you tweak some of the available settings and about:config values, #ZenBrowser is surprisingly good! I did not think that I could ever like vertical tabs, but I think using it has changed my mind about that. The default single-sidebar layout is unusable as a developer though. I just need to see more of the URL than just the domain, like the path or the protocol.
🇩🇪 𝕳𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖊𝕬𝖓𝖉𝖊𝖗𝖙I am currently testing the Zen Browser. My first impression is good. 🫣
However, I miss some important features that I really appreciate in Vivaldi. I miss mouse gestures, web panel and speed dial the most.
VIVALDI is still (by far) the best browser I have ever used. 
Still, it's nice to see that there are good alternatives. Competition is important.

Jeff#ZenBrowser, #Waterfox, and #Librewolf are all based on #Firefox but have said hey will deactivate any AI switches in the code they use from Mozilla.
#Vivaldi is based on #Chromium and has promised not to use AI.
Piranahallama@fabi1cazenave I've been using #ZenBrowser since a few weeks after release. I really like it and I've been recommending it to anyone who I speak to about web browsers.
If you don't want anything Google, give it a go but remember it's #mozilla based.

Zenissä workspacet on sidottu profiileihin (kuten ”work” tms omine evästeineen ja kirjautumisineen) 1:1 suhteella. Profiili voi olla vain yhdessä wokspacessa.
Mulle on tärkeää saada sekä työ- että vapaa-ajan kontekstissa selaimeen tiettyyn profiiliin useita workspaceja, jotta saan kasapäin välilehtiä ryhmitellyksi konteksteittain.
Nyt erottelen ne eri selaimiin.
kazé@ariarhythmic Well, I guess that’s a good part of the reason why I’m using #ZenBrowser : it’s AI-free, it has sane defaults, and it’s closer to what Fiirefox should have been. And it’s still a Gecko-based browser.
I’m still pissed. I just don’t want my anger towards Mozilla to make me a supporter of Google’s domination of the web standards.
Quick PSA : yes, #Mozilla has been disappointing, but so far, they’re the only organization preventing Google to have a full control over web standards. Blink/WebKit-based browsers (Chromium, Vivaldi…) do NOT help at all in that regard.
So please use #Firefox or a #Gecko-based alternative (#ZenBrowser, #LibreWolf…). Ride the nightly release train and report bugs if you can. #Servo is getting ready, but for the next ~5 years, Gecko is our only suitable option.

Vivaldi is proprietary. By moving from Firefox to Vivaldi, you are giving up your own freedoms.
Instead, use something that is truly open-source, respects your freedoms, and respects your privacy.
