2am, and Ivanova pours herself a finger of vodka. It's dark, but, as Sinclair reminded her just last week, in space it's always dark. She drinks half, stares at a point just beyond the star out there, thinking of nothing, desperately, achingly thinking of nothing, nothing to quiet the constant static in her mind. Back in bed, she sleeps, gets up in the morning. Another day, just like any other, squabbles to be settled, deliveries to be arranged. Tuesday, Monday - in space there are no days.
