Aryna Sabalenka wins the Miami Open, the world number 1 and still the queen of the “Miami Open”, the fourth WTA 1000 tournament of the season with a total prize pool of $9,411,725 being held on the concrete courts of Hard Rock Stadium, Florida. Sabalenka defeated American Coco Gauff, the fourth seed, in the final with a score of 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in a match lasting 2 hours and 11 minutes. The 27-year-old from Minsk thus confirms her title as the holder with the “icing on the cake” of the “Sunshine Double”, becoming the fifth player of all time to achieve the Indian Wells-Miami double. It is the Belarusian’s third title of 2026 (the 23rd in her career out of 43 finals), after victories in Brisbane and Indian Wells.
