Klar, der gute alte #ElectroVoice SBA760 klatscht alles an die Wand, den billigen #dbTechnologies #Subwoofer verdrückt der als Vorspeise eines englischen Frühstücks.

Aber auch: Der Lautstärkeregler beim SBA760 hat so gut wie keinen Spielraum mehr zwischen ganz aus und passender Lautstärke unter 9 Uhr wenn mit zwei #DAS #Action508a Tops kombiniert, während der billige #db #sub612 in der Zwölfuhrstellung ein angemessenes Gegengewicht auffährt. Bei knapp 20kg ohne Räder – vs. 44kg mit Rädern.

Und den SBA760 kann man mit Frequenzfutter unterhalb der Hörschwelle arg in Bedrängnis bringen, beim Sub612 muss ich das noch ausprobieren.

Für unter 400€ netto klingt der billige Brüller ok bei freundlichen Lautstärken. Ein Seeburg GSub 1201dp++ ist er nicht, aber der kostet auch 5× so viel.

Ich werde nicht mehr den großen Ofen zum kleinen Zimmer im #Hölderlinturm #Tübingen die Treppen runterwürgen wie einst.

Doing SPL tests on an advanced PA system.

Important when you do this work is to have proper PPE on your corpus (latin).

The system was running between 37dB SPL (sound pressure level) and a massive 110dB SPL. Note1

It's important to keep your corpus safe so a proper set of earmufs is a must.

This PA system can run all the way up to 125dB SPL but that level was not needed in this test. The signal limiting systems were tested with this setup, since those are the last stop between your speaker systems the signal and burning speaker coils...

My dB meters are calibrated so the values are accurate. I use one consistent system of calibration accorss all my dB meters to get similar results on similar acousting ENV
