A VERY busy day
1. Laundry. On my own because hubby's work schedule was changed. We usually do the laundry every other Monday, when he doesn't start work until 15.30
2. Teams meeting with a stranger: the other external examiner for a doctoral thesis in medieval history. My first time
3. 2,5 hour lecture and discussion with my fashion history course.
Inbetween I got some knitting done.

I had to split much earlier for the sleeves, so needed to continue the pattern down the arm as well. I think it worked out pretty well 🤩 #knitting #stricken #strandedknitting #colorworkknitting #malabrigorios

My first #colourwork project I did as a #giftknit for a friend working in research on #taxevasion.
Little wobbly since I switched from #intarsia to #StrandedKnitting halfway through, but hey, I learned a lot :D
Any ideas on what kind of political wall hanging knit project I should do next?
Also probs to @blauertee for programming a GitHub tool that converts basically anything to a colour work chart! ❤️

The testing of the #pineconecardigan #kottekoftan is up and running and I’m joining in with a new sample in a reversed color scheme. There’s still room for more testers if you want to join. Deadline 15/4.

I just finished the Dalvic Sweater by DROPS. I changed the design of the yoke a little. In the original some parts are knitted with 2 lighter colours in one row. With the yarn I chose, there was not enough contrast. I am happy with the result. #knitting, #strandedknitting,
Slow Sunday with a sick kid on the sofa. Fortunately I can continue to work on my patterns while keeping her company.

The back of stranded knitting has a hypnotic charm. Keeping it neat isn’t always easy, but when it works, there’s something deeply satisfying about how it looks.
Do you feel the same?

Curious about this pattern? Don’t worry; it’ll be revealed soon! 🦇

Well, hello there! Mary P Hunt has a new cowl design out. Guardian features an intricate design of intertwined #dragons inspired by Celtic myth and the motifs of medieval decoration. Pattern is on Ravelry and there is a #crochet version as well. #Knitting #strandedknitting https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/guardian-cowl-knit
Guardian Cowl (Knit) pattern by Mary P. Hunt

The Guardian Cowl is based on several mythological dragons like the Celtic wuivre and beithir, and the Germanic wyrm. The choice to call these intertwined creatures “guardians” comes from the ancient dragon’s association of strength, wisdom, gate-keeping passage to other worlds, and the guardianship of the universe’s secrets and treasures. Inspired by never-ending Celtic knots and the intricate decorations of Medieval tapestries, each dragon’s tail makes up all of the filigree throughout this design!

Little pinecone and big pinecone!
I've made some changes to the big version:
🐿️ The big one is knitted top down. With the children's cardigan, I had a lot of trouble getting the dots to end up at the right place at the joining of the sleeves and yoke for each size, and then there are still only three sizes. Now I wanted to save myself that headache.
🐿️ The cones in the border under the yoke have been given a new design.
🐿️ The rolled edge at the bottom is worked last so that the button edge also gets a rolled edge.

And then obviously another yarn, DK instead of fingering.

Yarn in big cardi: Highland DK from @northern.yarn.studio and #håndværksgarn from @hjelholtsuldspinderi

Yarn in small cardi: #raumafinull and unknown home-dyed yarn
