ISSSTE salva vida en Pachuca al activar Código Infarto

El Hospital General (HG) “Dra. Columba Rivera Osorio” en Pachuca, Hidalgo, adscrito al Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE), que encabeza el director general Martí Batres Guadarrama, activó de manera oportuna el protocolo Código Infarto para salvar la vida de un paciente de 62 años, a quien se le detectó un infarto al miocardio en evolución al ingresar al servicio de urgencias de esta unidad de segundo nivel.

El médico urgenciólogo Pablo Rodolfo Córdoba Santos explicó que el pasado 3 de abril, el derechohabiente presentaba dolor en la zona anterior al tórax, por lo que personal médico del servicio de Cardiología Intervencionista actuó de manera inmediata bajo los lineamientos del Código Infarto, para trasladarlo a la sala de hemodinamia, donde se le practicó un procedimiento de alta especialidad llamado cateterismo cardíaco, que permitió detectar una obstrucción crítica en una de las arterias del corazón y colocar un stent o malla metálica para restablecer el flujo sanguíneo.

“Gracias a la intervención oportuna y precisa del equipo médico, se logró restablecer el flujo sanguíneo mediante la colocación de un stent, evitando mayores complicaciones y logrando estabilizar al derechohabiente”, subrayó. –sn–

Got the capsule down the tube, but I felt horrible for 18 hours after.

Turns out, the artery that was 100% blocked 19 years ago was now blocked 90%. A new stent was inserted and ta da! That capsule probably saved my life 💜 🫀 🥂

It continues to amaze me that I have this thing in my chest. It's a stent keeping my aorta nice and open; I have congenital heart defects, and the stent is helping out with that. (X-ray from Monday: it's been a week...).
