German chancellor Merz casually dismisses Germany's (already insufficient) #climate targets. In an hour-long talkshow interview, he was asked to complete some sentences:

Host: "That the current heat wave is a sign of climate change ..."
Merz: "... is partially true, but surely not exclusively."

Host: "That [economics minister] Katharina Reiche questions the 2045 climate target ...'
Merz: "... has something to do with a realistic view of what we can actually achieve."

What the general consensus was: "If everyone has the same weapons of mass destruction then no one would use them, the threat would be nullified"

US: "We agree, but only some of everyone should have them"

World: "Err, no, that's not how it works"

US: "And then over time only WE should have ALL of them, and then we'll put the worst narcissistic criminal in charge of them.."

World: "Errrrrrrrrrrr..........."
