all the criticism has been said, all the takes been had. the only metaphor i have been finding consistently useful for understanding what is happening with people and "AI" is addiction, and specifically gambling addiction.

For people who haven't been keeping up with this project, I've been doing ceramics for a couple years now, and recently people kept tagging me in posts about a European feminist hacker collective that was making circuit boards out of court they dug out of the ground and fired in a campfire.
After having an epiphany about some experimental copper ceramics glazes i made last year, i thought i would see if i could solder to them, and i found that i could.
Sooo ... I made a stamp and stamped out some really basic boards for an astable multivibrator (two blinky lights) circuit. I filled the recessed traces with copper powder and had them fired in our pottery kiln.
Now i have ceramic circuit boards.

Hier in de straat staan auto's betaald aan de laadpaal terwijl mijn zonnepanelen elektra over hebben die ik best gratis aan een 'tanker' wil geven.
Zouden we geen federatieve oplaadcommunity kunnen bouwen waarbij mijn HomeAssistant automatisch beschikbaarheid van gratis stroom kan adverteren. Dan kan iemand inpluggen, gratis laden en hoeft die stroom niet het net op.
Veel technische details te regelen, maar ik vind het wel een strak idee :-)
Starting to expect some weirdness somewhere either in my home network or maybe this old Acer laptop is just... wonky.
I have intermittent, short network hiccups.
Pinging over Thunderbolt dock: 3ms pings, 8% packet loss.
Pinging over network port: 6ms pings, 2.2% packet loss.
Pinging over wifi: 9ms ping, 0% packet loss.
PC connected to same switch: 3ms pings, 1.2% packet loss.
Pinging from firewall: 0% packet loss.
Wifi has separate wired backhaul, so it's probably that one cable...
