Doom Patrol (2019-2023) is one of those streaming shows that really went under the radar. That makes sense, as it's a very weird show, but still it's a shame.
It's so fucking unapologetically queer in surprising & beautiful ways. Add in the themes of emotional healing, & it's something incredible. To top it all off, the show ran for 4 good seasons & then wrapped up conclusively (unlike so many good shows that were canceled before they got a chance to wrap things up).

Rewatching Doom Patrol & deeply appreciating how this show constantly pushes back against the idea of being "normal".
In the face of a world that demands conformity, Doom Patrol says "fuck normalcy, you are more weird & wonderful than you even know."
I love how I extremely queer Doom Patrol is (the show, although of course Grant Morrison deserves credit for making Doom Patrol comics queer as fuck first).
It's so fucking fantastic. Queer joy saves the day on more than one occasion.

Alan Moore was really creatively on fire during this run. That most American phenomenon: a serial killer meets a real monster!
